With the NFL draft essentially a week away I have one message for Bob Quinn, Draft Mr. Tua Tagovailoa. Set up this franchise for the next 10 years, make it at least exciting. If you sit there at 3 and take Okudah, I will breathe fire on this joke of an orginization. It’s not that I don’t like Okudah, I think he’s a fine player. But if I’m Martha Ford, how can I in good conscious let a man, who will be unemployed next year, set this franchise back for at least another 2 years. Because anyone with a brain knows that Lions aren’t bad enough to have a shot at Fields or Lawrence. So if you draft Tua at 3 you have set up the franchise for the next 10 years. Even if he doesn’t pan out, you will attract attention for the next 2-3 years. If you trade down to get 5, 26 and 35 from Miami and then draft Okudah it’s a little bit better. If you know that he will still be there at 5 and Miami is desperate for a QB then why not take their offer. But we are a team in rebuild mode, and you’re thinking about taking a cornerback with the 3rd pick? Matthew Stafford had a nice run here; let Tua sit for a year, and then let him play. Take your defensive player in the 2nd round. Also, taking Okudah is not a win now move because you’re not going win now. He could be a fine player but QB’s win you championships, and Tua has championship experience. Not to mention that people would actually go to your games. I don’t think this will happen; I think they will take Okudah at 3, and I will become a human dragon.
